Recently, the boy has started copying everything I do. He’s a real Mama’s boy and wants to do everything Mama does. “Auch!” (German for “too”) he calls out, patting his chest to make sure I know he’s referring to himself, when I’m putting of face cream, spraying perfume, or pinning back my hair. Several times now he’s gone off to nursery with a couple of my kirby grips stuck in his hair. Today, however, when I picked him up from nursery, he was wearing these two lovely clips instead:

Seems some of the girls have been sharing with him. I’m totally cool with this by the way. If he wants to pin back his hair and prefers pink clips to my dull brown kirby grips, that’s fine with me. Two of my friends on Facebook commented that their wee boys also have a thing about pink hair clips, so it’s obviously the height of toddler fashion. And as Stephen Fry would tell you if you asked him, pink used to be for boys anyway. Not sure about the butterflies and glitter though^^
